Needs and Goals

The project’s main target group – low-skilled VET learners with limited cognitive ability – faces significant obstacles in acquiring essential digital skills. These include a lack of basic digital skills, low confidence in the use of technology, and difficulty in applying abstract concepts in practical scenarios. The project addresses these needs through AI-based tools and methodologies designed to create a supportive, engaging, and personalised learning environment.

Development of practical skills: Tech Up ensures that students acquire essential digital skills, such as creating documents, sending e-mails, and managing files. Thanks to virtual assistants with artificial intelligence and step-by-step guidance, students can learn in an accessible and non-intimidating way, boosting their confidence and motivation.
Relevance of real-world applications: By integrating simulations and hands-on exercises, the project links digital learning to real tasks, such as filling out online forms or using collaborative tools such as Google Drive. This approach makes students see the immediate relevance of their skills for their professional training and future careers.

Personalised support: Artificial intelligence tools adapt to the pace and learning style of each student, providing tailored feedback and encouragement. This ensures inclusivity and helps students with cognitive difficulties to progress effectively, promoting a sense of achievement and self-efficacy.
Participating VET organisations aim to equip students with the skills and competencies needed to thrive in a technology- driven economy.

Addressing the digital skills gaps in VET

Tech-Up responds directly to the needs of participating VET organisations and learners with lower initial digital skills and additional learning support needs. It provides practical, accessible and adaptable learning approaches that build digital confidence and help learners apply AI, data and digital competences in realistic educational and workplace contexts.

Inclusive and Labour-Market-Oriented learning

By integrating accessible AI-supported tools, step-by-step resources and practical exercises, Tech-Up helps participating organisations modernise their curricula and respond to diverse learning needs. The project strengthens digital literacy, problem-solving and the responsible use of emerging technologies, supporting learners’ readiness for further training, employment and participation in a digital society.
